Whistler Road Report

Check the current road conditions or call 1.800.WHISTLER (1.800.944.7853) for information about the Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99).

The highway to Whistler is undergoing a $600 million upgrade. The construction is scheduled for completion in 2009. Drivers are asked to use caution through all work sites. Traffic fines are double in construction zones.

Allow Extra Time

Allow yourself extra time when travelling. During non-closure, "off-peak" periods, remember 30-30-45. Construction related traffic delays are coordinated so that total construction delays should not exceed:

  • 30 minutes extra travel time between Horseshoe Bay and Squamish
  • 30 minutes extra travel time between Squamish and Whistler, or
  • 45 minutes extra travel time between Horseshoe Bay and Whistler
